{"id":6697,"date":"2025-12-01T21:56:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T21:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demokracia.umb.sk\/?p=6697"},"modified":"2026-06-01T21:58:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T21:58:53","slug":"news-1-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demokracia.umb.sk\/index.php\/2025\/12\/01\/news-1-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Together for a Resilient Democracy: Second Cross-Sectoral Townhall\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Institute for Democracy at Matej Bel University hosted the second edition of its interactive forum\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Together for a Resilient Democracy&#8221; (Spolu pre odoln\u00fa demokraciu)<\/strong>, bringing together representatives from the public, private, academic, and civic sectors to discuss the state of cross-sectoral trust and cooperation in Slovakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first edition, held in April 2025, focused on the perspective of civil society, the challenges facing NGOs, the threats to democratic life as seen from the civic sector, and the conditions under which meaningful cooperation across sectors can emerge. The November townhall, integrated into the Human Forum programme, broadened the conversation. Twenty-seven participants from all four sectors came together to identify the barriers and enabling factors for cross-sectoral cooperation in the context of strengthening democratic resilience in Slovakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum used an interactive format, combining structured thematic discussions with live polling via Slido and the deliberative platform Themis, developed by the civic association DEMDIS.
