Namely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAjcPS4BxFPwqO_zJKWTmx9_yfPozlUzstY\" data-attribute-index=\"3\" data-entity-type=\"MINI_PROFILE\">Kamila Borsekova<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAABFDR94BOGMsppF6w9evOozbzWCoNIPFF2k\" data-attribute-index=\"5\" data-entity-type=\"MINI_PROFILE\">Jozef Michal Mintal<\/a>, and their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=brridge&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7029440323164471297\" data-attribute-index=\"7\">#BRRIDGE<\/a> team who are leading the way in strengthening UMB&#8217;s research capacities in the field of democracy and policy, and trying to better understand the current democratic disconnect that stems from changes in technology, inequalities, culture, and governance. And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAOdiqYBp58Cuvl1um-5mACSqmKGclNUfy0\" data-attribute-index=\"8\" data-entity-type=\"MINI_PROFILE\">Alexandra Bitusikova<\/a> who is leading UMB&#8217;s team in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=genderaction&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7029440323164471297\" data-attribute-index=\"10\">#GENDERACTION<\/a>+, which aims to contribute to the advancement of gender equality in the European Research Area.<\/p>\n<p>The newest Horizon Europe statistics also reveal an exciting trend \u2014 that of Slovakia&#8217;s overall improvement in EU research and innovation framework programs, with a more than four-fold increase in successful Horizon project participation when compared with the first year of Horizon 2020.
