Mission Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Volebny\u0301 Kompas Panel delivers high- quality, transparent, and methodologically rigorous data to advance the understanding of political attitudes, behaviors, and democratic change. Rooted in Slovakia and designed for international comparison, the Panel equips scholars, policymakers, and the public with insights that inform debate and strengthen democratic resilience.<\/p>\n

Launched from the 2023 Volebny\u0301 Kompas Voting Advice Application (N = 134,699), the Panel now engages 30,742 registered participants\u2014making it one of the largest longitudinal studies of its kind in Europe. By following the same individuals over time, and integrating both surveys and experimental methods, we provide a unique window into how citizens think, act, and respond in a changing political environment.<\/p>\n

We are committed to open science and to building research infrastructure that serves as a lasting resource for the study of democracy in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n

The Volebny\u0301 Kompas Panel is a non- commercial, academically run longitudinal panel, tracking political and social attitudes, behaviors, and experimental responses within the VK VVA 2023 cohort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

While Slovakia is our central case, our design aligns with leading international survey standards, enabling meaningful comparative research.<\/p>\n

Hosted at the Institute for Democracy at UMB, the Panel supports a broad community of researchers, fostering evidence-based work that addresses pressing questions about democratic change, political engagement, and societal trust.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
